High Performance Polyethylene (HPPE) is among the world’s strongest fibers. HPPE ropes have been used in marine and industrial applications for years. We now offer HPPE chokers to replace choker chains. Made of 10 mm (3/8'') diameter HPPE rope with 7100 kg minimum breaking strength, they are extremely strong, durable, and lightweight. Three links of 6 mm chain and a 30 cm steel rod at one end make it easy to push under logs and provide an anchor point for a grab hook. A spliced eye at the other end is used to 'choke' the log.
